The major research and development area and direction of The R&D center of Qiwen Cable (Shanghai) Co., Ltd is to use high and new technology to reform traditional industry. Now it has more than 20 senior and intermediate R & D research staff. The center is based on the existing scientific research achievements and closely follows the advanced technology home and abroad, rapidly developing the industrial supporting technology marked by independent intellectual property rights and extensively launching technical cooperation. It tries to make breakthrough in the technology of fluoroplastic Teflon (PTFE) and refractory lines. Meanwhile, the center actively carries out technical exchanges and cooperation, improving itself and serving others in exchange and cooperation, and making contribution for improving the overall technical level of the Chinese cable industry.

The products include various fields, and the working temperature ranges from 250 C to 1200 C. They can be divided into two categories according to different insulation: 1. Teflon insulation; 2. Mica braided refractory line and so on. According to function, they can also be divided as auto harness line, high temperature wires for temperature sensors, high temperature wires for microwaves, high temperature wires for auto oxygen sensors, high temperature wires for industrial heating elements, high temperature wires for heating lamp, high temperature wires for machine windings, high temperature wires for military use, compound oil-resistant and abrasion-resistant wires, special anti-cracking outgoing wires for electrical machinery ,and architectural cables. They can also be divided as single-core electronic wires, multi-core cables, glass braided wires, and mica braided wires according to the classification of wires’ structures.
